We will be 21 in 2016!

What makes IF distinctive is being an integral part of village life.  We are welcomed back every year, like the swallows, as an essential part of the village summer - the summer of 2015 being a particulalry warm and sunny one. We have enjoyed meeting new students and welcoming back returners.

We have continued our tradition of inviting local speakers to talk to us, including this year, the Mayor of Suèvres, a local journalist, a GP, an historian and a retired school inspector. The cookery master classes continue as do our end-of-course dinners at the local restaurant, La Bergerie, with excellent local food, wine, conversation with invited French guests and French chansons.

It's good to have news from any former IF students so please keep those postcards, photos and emails coming! And don't hesitate to contact me if you want advice about our courses.

With best wishes

Our Immersion France 6-day residential courses, commencing on Saturdays, offer intensive immersion in the French language.

Students are accommodated with families well known to us, in the village.

We usually have around 12 students each week, split into two groups according to ability for most of the teaching.

Our tutors come from the Open University, London University or are local French speakers.

We can offer exam preparation with particular help for students facing oral exams.

Specialist group weeks can be arranged.

The price includes all accommodation, meals, teaching, materials, and visits, but not travel to and back from Suèvres.
